The application requires general information, parental/guardian information, and academic information. You can go ahead and submit the online application without the below items (application fee, transcripts, test scores (optional), etc.) and send them at a later time if needed. However, please remember to submit these items in order for us to review your complete application file for both admission and scholarship purposes. 

Admission Requirements

  • New Transfer (15 or more transferable hours)
    • College GPA - 2.0 cumulative GPA on all credit hours*
    • Good Academic Standing
  • New Transfer (less than 15 transferable hours)
    • College GPA - 2.0 cumulative GPA on all credit hours*
    • Good Academic Standing
    • Submit High School GPA** and ACT or SAT scores for consideration
  • Enter our Partnership Pathways program at one of our partner community colleges and follow the degree plan. Pathway programs are currently available at MCC, EMCC, ECCC, and Jones College.

Proof of immunity
to measles, mumps, and rubella

  • All students including transfer and graduate students, born after 1956 are required to provide proof of immunity to Rubeola (red measles), Rubella (German measles), and Mumps (MMR).
  • Visit the Health Center for more information about Immunization Requirements.
  • MSU has partnered with Med+Proctor, a healthcare technology company that supplies student-immunization verification services. Once you are admitted to the university, please go to Medproctor.com, create an account using your MSU credentials, and upload your immunization document. You will receive a confirmation email once your document has been reviewed. If you have general questions concerning the status of your immunization records, please contact Med+Proctor at Help@MedProctor.com, or you may contact the Health Center via email (health@msstate.edu - preferred method) or by phone (662) 325-0706.

Official Transcripts

  • Submit official transcripts from each college or university attended.
  • Faxed transcripts will not be accepted.
  • An applicant may not ignore previous college attendance and MUST list all colleges attended on the application for admission.
