Public Administration

The Public Administration Credentialing Field prepares students to take on administrative roles at public or governmental entities. Among these roles are budgeting, government interaction, personnel management, legal issues, assessment, and public administration research. This includes colleges and universities. With this credentialing field, the program also allows the graduates to be credentialed to teach courses in the field of public administration. Mississippi State’s Department of Political Science and Public Administration offers an abundance of courses that can be used to form an effective 18-hour credentialing block for Public Administration. These courses are all offered in an evening, synchronous online format to make them readily accessible to working professionals. The courses are also offered in an on-campus format with variable schedules.  Students much choose between the on-ground or synchronous online format and cannot easily move between formats.
