Welcome to the Division of Arts & Sciences! We offer a range of undergraduate programs in the social and behavioral sciences (Bachelor of Social Work, BA Criminology, BA Psychology) and the humanities (BA History, BA Liberal Arts). We also provide a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies for those wishing to combine several fields of study to meet their academic and career goals.
For those with technical credits in the healthcare or hospitality fields seeking to earn a bachelor’s degree, we offer a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Healthcare Services or Event and Hospitality Services.

History and Mission
The Division of Arts & Sciences, part of the largest college at Mississippi State University, has served students at MSU-Meridian since shortly after the founding of the campus in 1972. Since 1993, the division has been housed on the College Park Campus adjacent to Meridian Community College.
Starting with programs in Interdisciplinary Studies and Social Work, over the past 20 years the division has added degrees in Psychology, History, Criminology, General Liberal Arts, and Applied Technology in Healthcare Services and Event and Hospitality Services to better serve the needs of our community.
The Division of Arts & Sciences supports Mississippi State University – Meridian, which is an extended campus of MSU-Starkville, a public, land-grant University whose mission is to provide access and opportunity to students from all sectors of the state’s diverse population and to offer excellent programs of teaching, research, and service.
