Secondary Education Endorsement
For students interested in teaching at the secondary level, MSU-Meridian offers two degree options. If students have a Bachelor of Science degree, then the Master of Arts in Secondary Education (alternate route program) is an option. For students seeking a Bachelor of Science degree, then the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree program, which includes two endorsement areas, will allow graduates to teach at the elementary, middle, and secondary level. The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education leads to a K-6 license, while endorsements in English and/or Social Studies leads to the ability to teach grades 7-12 in those subject areas. Additionally students can choose an endorsement area in Special Education.
