2+2 Partners

Mississippi State University - Meridian entered into 2+ 2 agreements with our partner community colleges to make it easier for students to understand which classes are necessary for the easiest transition to the upper level course work required for a bachelors degree. The 2+2 agreements were done in conjunction with the community colleges administrators, advisors, and staff. Although state mandated articulation agreements have existed for sometime, it was not always evident to advisors, students, or administrators which classes were required prerequisites.

Citizens of Mississippi have benefitted from this agreement in that it allows them at a glance to determine exactly those classes that are necessary, both to complete their associate degree and to continue their education at the Mississippi State University - Meridian Campus.

Training sessions for all advising staff was undertaken to ensure that everyone understood the 2+2 agreements and which classes would count as prerequisites according to the state mandated articulation agreements.
