MSU Meridian Campus - Missippi State University

M.S. in Elementary Education

The M.S. program in Elementary Education consists of thirty-six (36) semester hours. Once admitted, a student should schedule an advisement appointment so that an official program of study can be designated.

In addition to meeting minimum Graduate School requirements for admission, students applying for admission to programs in Elementary Education must hold or be eligible to hold a Class A teaching certificate. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale for the last two years of baccalaureate work and a 3.0 on all graduate work already completed. Offical Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores must also be submitted. Although admission decisions are partially based upon GRE scores, no specific score is required. Application materials may be obtained from the Office of Student Services. Admission to the master’s programs is contingent on the approval of the Dean of the College of Education and the Dean of MSU-Meridian.
