Curriculum

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with concentration in Technology Management is a four-year, career-oriented program that prepares students to manage people, machinery, and other resources in a manufacturing or service environment.  The program is primarily involved with the management, operation, and maintenance of complex technological systems.

Related Careers: The Technology Management program will lead students to advanced positions in their respective technical/professional areas.  Graduates will be best suited for technical and/or managerial positions in the private and public sectors.  Following is a sample list of the job titles and salary ranges for graduates completing the technology management program.

Minimum admission requirements (in addition to general admission requirements): In general, applicants to Mississippi State University-Meridian Campus must have completed at least 60 credit hours of college work at a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, to include the following:

  • 6 semester hours of English Composition  
  • 3 semester hours of College Algebra or higher level mathematics 
  • 6 semester hours of laboratory science 
  • 9 semester hours of transferable electives
  • 24 core hours total 

To be eligible for admission, transfer students should have earned a 2.0 overall GPA (as computed by Mississippi State University) on all courses attempted at all regionally accredited institutions of higher learning attended. Official transcripts from all institutions attended must be submitted.

Students admitted to the program will also need to have a 'C' or better in the following courses:

  • EC 2113 & EC 2123 Macroeconomics & Microeconomics
  • ACC 2013 & ACC 2023 Financial and Managerial Accounting
  • BL 2413 The Legal Environment of Business
  • BIS 1012 Introduction to Computers
  • BQA 2113 Business Statistical Methods I
